2021-22 impact at a glance…

  • 677 students received services from a mental health professional.
  • Supported two new VPS initiatives focused on attendance, student engagement, and truancy to help students avoid expulsion and stay on track to graduate.
  • Provided support for new VPS staff positions of Student Advocates and Mental Health and Wellness Coordinators.
  • Provided support for VPS school mobilization and crisis response teams.
  • Supported training for family-community resource staff to deepen cultural awareness and fine tune delivery of services.

School Funds

The Foundation provides an annual budget for every principal and/or Family Resource Coordinator serving each of our 37 schools to quickly and confidentially help students in need. This program allows school staff to focus on individual student needs ranging from personal hygiene items to class or activity fees, bus passes, medical needs, senior year expenses and more.
