2025-26 School Supply Drive

Did you know that approximately 52% of VPS families have incomes below the federal poverty guidelines, with some schools as high as 80%?

For these families, and many others, purchasing school supplies could translate into falling behind on rent or reducing an already minimal food budget.

THANK YOU to everyone who donated to this year’s drive – we collected 546 boxes of crayons, 260 backpacks, over 1000 notebooks – and so much more!

We met our goal! You raised over $15,000 for Write from the Start – and Dick Hannah Dealerships has graciously matched $10,000!

What school supplies are needed?

We are no longer accepting supplies for the 2025 Write from the Start school supply drive – thank you to everyone who donated!

Where can I drop off school supplies?

Our physical drive is has closed – thank you to all of the participating businesses who hosted a bin!
