The Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools relies on gifts from individuals, local businesses, foundations and corporate sponsors in the form of cash gifts, in-kind donations, support for Foundation events and the hundreds of volunteers who make our programs possible. The Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization; all donations are tax-deductible. Federal ID #91-0971800.
There are many ways to make a gift to the Foundation. Your generosity will not only benefit the students of Vancouver Public Schools, but may also provide you with tax benefits. Below are just some of the ways you can contribute.
Contributions may be made directly to the Foundation online via security-certified website or by mail.

A pledge is a commitment to give a gift at pre-determined times. A pledge can be made at any time, and paid monthly, quarterly, or annually.
A gift of stocks, bonds, or other securities involves transferring the asset to the charitable organization. This gift provides a tax deduction equal to the fair market value when the gift is delivered. Learn more here.
Remembering the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools in your will or charitable trust helps future students. To extend your support of the Foundation and make a lasting impact, consider several gift arrangements:
• Make a gift through your estate by naming the Foundation for VPS in your will or living trust.
• List the Foundation for VPS as a beneficiary of your life insurance or IRA retirement account.
• If you’re over the age of 70 1/2 you could make a penalty-free donation through an IRA.
• Fund a life-income gift such as a charitable gift annuity or remainder trust.
Check with your CPA and/or financial advisor on the strategy that will work best for you. Our staff will work with you to achieve your charitable-giving objectives. From school supplies for students in need to books for preschoolers, we welcome your in-kind gifts. Individuals, local businesses and community partners have generously provided in-kind donations such as food, clothes, shoes and personal hygiene items to support basic needs and Family-Community Resource Centers.
