YOUR LEGACY IS THEIR OPPORTUNITY
Inspired by Dr. Jim Parsley, who was our superintendent when the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools (FVPS) was founded, the Shoe Box Society are folx who participate in planned & legacy giving in support of FVPS.
The Story
Back in 1988, Dr. Jim Parsley became aware of a student who didn’t have adequate shoes to walk to school in, so he bought a pair. The pair of shoes inspired teachers and educators to do the same and so they started collecting money and putting it in a shoe box to support VPS students. Before they knew it the Foundation had begun and now we invite you to join the legacy by becoming a member of the Shoe Box Society.

There are a couple of ways to join the Shoe Box Society:
As a Shoe Box Society Member you will receive an exclusive quarterly newsletter that shares stories of impact, as well as you can “move up the ranks” in the Shoe Box Society.
